BIOGRAPHY
Gino Vannelli (born June 16, 1952 in Montreal, Canada) is a singer, songwriter, and pianist known for his work in rock and pop music. He found international success in the 1970s and 1980s with songs such as "I Just Wanna Stop," "Living Inside Myself," and "Wild Horses."
Raised in the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce neighborhood of Montreal, Vannelli studied classical piano at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal before turning to rock. He signed with A&M Records in 1970 and released his self-titled debut album, Gino Vannelli, in 1971. His second album, Powerful People, was released in 1974 and reached number four on the Billboard 2
