Ann and Nancy Wilson are the founders of rock band Heart, which experienced initial success in the 1970s, reaching even greater heights after a comeback a decade later. The sisters grew up in Seattle, where they started their musical career at the end of the 60s by forming a group called the Lovemongers. The band became a staple of the local music scene, and in 1993, they released the album Whirlygig. The following year, Heart made their major label debut with Dreamboat Annie. The album was a huge success, spawning the hits "Crazy on You" and "Magic Man". Heart continued to find success in the 70s with a series of well-received albums, including Little Queen (1977), Dog & Butterfly (1978) and Bebe le Strange (1980). However, in the early 80s, the group's popularity began to decline. They took a break in 1983, during which Nancy Wilson released a solo album, The Beauty Guerrilla. The group reunited in 1985 and released their ninth studio album, Heart. The album was a commercial disappointment, but the group rebounded with Bad Animals in 1987, which included the hits "Alone" and "Who Will You Run To". Heart experienced another setback in the early 90s when Nancy Wilson sought treatment for addiction. The group returned in 1993 with their tenth studio album, Desire Walks On. The album was a moderate success, but it was the 1995 self-titled album that marked the true comeback of Heart. The album was a huge success, spawning the hits "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love to You" and "These Dreams". Heart followed the album with The Road Home in 1998, a live album that captured the raw energy of the group. Heart entered the new millennium with renewed vigor. In 2004, they released their first studio album in six years, Jupiter's Darling. The album marked a comeback for the group, followed by a successful world tour. The latest Heart album, Red Velvet Car, was released in 2010. The album was another critical and commercial success, solidifying Heart's place as one of the most successful rock groups of all time.
