BIOGRAPHY
Jean-Pierre Mader is a French-German singer, songwriter, composer, and producer, born on March 5, 1962, in Saarbrück, Germany. After growing up in Moselle, Jean-Pierre Mader studied piano, drums, and guitar. In 1982, he moved to Paris to pursue film studies. He began his career playing in various rock and jazz bands before launching his solo career in 1987.
Jean-Pierre Mader achieved commercial success with his first album "Mader," released in 1988. The album sold over 500,000 copies and earned him two nominations at the Victoires de la Musique.
His second album, "Tout est permis," released in 1991, was also a success and sold over 300,000 copies.
Jean-Pierre Mader had a third success with his album "Dans la peau d'un autre," released in 1994. The album sold over 200,000 copies.
Jean-Pierre Mader has also released several live albums and compilations, including "Best Of Jean-Pierre Mader" (1996) and "Mader chante Brel" (1998).
Jean-Pierre Mader was named Knight of the Legion of Honor in 2012.
