Kenny Loggins is an American singer-songwriter of rock and pop music. He was born on January 7, 1948 in Everett, Washington state. Loggins began his musical career in the early 1970s as a member of the duo Loggins and Messina. The duo found commercial success with songs such as "Your Mama Don't Dance" and "Footloose." Loggins then pursued a solo career and achieved even greater commercial success with songs such as "Danger Zone," "Footloose," "I'm Alright," and "Meet Me Half Way."
