BIOGRAPHY
Linda Williams is a contemporary music artist based in Los Angeles. She studied composition with James Tenney and Morton Feldman and has been influenced by minimalist and microtonal music. Williams has composed for numerous ensembles and performers, such as the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the French Radio Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the London Sinfonietta, the Swiss Romandy Orchestra, the Nieuw Ensemble, the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia, the National Orchestra of Lille, Ensemble Cairn, Ensemble Court-Circuit, Ensemble 2E2M, Ensemble L'Itinéraire, Ensemble Linea, Ensemble Modern, the French Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, and several soloists. Her works have been performed at numerous festivals, such as the Avignon Festival, the Autumn Festival in Paris, the Aix-en-Provence Festival, the Salzburg Festival, the Lucerne Festival, the Berlin Festival, the Munich Festival, the Warsaw Festival, the Ultraschall Festival in Berlin, the Musica Festival in Strasbourg, the Venice Biennale, the Munich Biennale, the Zagreb Biennale, the Seoul Biennale, the Sydney Biennale, the Tokyo Biennale, and the Tanglewood Music Festival.
