Their self-titled first album, Louise Attaque, is released in January 1998 and sells over two million copies, becoming a diamond album. Their second album, Comme on a dit, is released in 2001 and sells over a million copies. In 2003, the group releases its third album, Tous les garçons et les filles, which sells over two million copies and also becomes a diamond album. The group separates in 2010, but reunites in 2016. The name of the group is inspired by the film of Bertrand Tavernier, L'Attaque du moulin à café."
