BIOGRAPHY
Michael Cretu is a German electronic music musician, producer, and composer, born on May 18, 1957, in Bucharest, Romania. He began his musical career in 1975 in Germany, playing guitar in the pop rock band Sphinx Tush.
In 1982, he founded the electronic pop group Enigma, of which he is the leader and main composer. Enigma achieved international success with the albums MCMXC a.D. (1990), The Cross of Changes (1993), and Le Roi est mort, vive le Roi! (1996).
In addition to his work with Enigma, Michael Cretu has also produced and composed for numerous other artists, including Sandra, Gregorian, Sarah Brightman, and Cher.
He has also released several solo albums, such as The Invisible Man (1985), Moon, Light & Flowers (1988), and Metamorphosis (2012).
