"Midi 5 is a French music group formed in 2013. The group is composed of five musicians: Nicolas Darmon, Antoine Gaillet, Benjamin Joubert-Laurencin, Pierre-Yves Plat, and Xavier Plat. They all studied classical music and jazz at the Conservatoire de Paris. The group was created in 2013 when the five musicians met in a jazz class. They began playing together and quickly developed a unique style, blending jazz, classical music, and world music. Their first album, "Midi 5," was recorded in 2014 and was well received by critics. Their second album, "Les Choses qui Nous Séparent," was released in 2016. In 2018, the group was selected to represent France in the prestigious Eurovision competition. They finished 11th with their song "Merci.""
