"Midnight Star is an American music group formed in 1976 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The group consists of three brothers, Reggie, Virgil, and Melvin Simpson, as well as their cousin Jeffrey Cooper. The group experienced commercial success with singles such as "Freak-A-Zoid", "No Parking (On the Dance Floor)", and "Operator". Midnight Star also had a significant influence on the development of the new jack swing music genre."
