"Moon Martin, also known as Robert Bruce Martin, is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist born on July 23, 1953, in Los Angeles, California.
Growing up in a dysfunctional family, he was placed in several foster homes and began playing guitar at the age of 13, quickly developing a unique style that blended rock, blues, and country.
At only 17 years old, Moon Martin dropped out of school to perform in Los Angeles clubs. He recorded several independent albums before signing with Capitol Records in 1979.
His first album for Capitol, 'Escalator of Life', was a commercial success and helped launch his career. He went on to release three more albums for Capitol before leaving the label in 1984.
Subsequently, he released several independent albums before signing with RCA Records in 1989. His album for RCA, 'Mystery Ticket', was a commercial success and revitalized his career.
Moon Martin released two more albums for RCA before leaving the label in 1992. Since then, he has continued to release independent albums and has made a few television and film appearances."
