BIOGRAPHY
RFM is a French radio station founded on October 4, 1981, in Paris. It is owned by the Lagardère Active group and currently has over 3 million daily listeners.
Created by Jean-Luc Azoulay and Claude Grudet, RFM quickly distinguished itself by broadcasting a mix of pop, rock, and disco music, as well as radio-crochet shows that helped promote many artists.
Over the years, RFM has evolved to become a generalist music radio station, launching entertainment shows such as "Nuits Magiques" and "Les Années Bonheur".
In 2000, RFM was acquired by the Lagardère Active group and was renamed "RFM Musique", offering a varied program including pop, rock, dance, and R&B music.
