"Selah Sue, also known as Sanne Putseys, is a Belgian singer-songwriter and producer born on May 3, 1989, in Liège.
Initially known for her reggae-soul-pop music, she has also ventured into hip-hop and electronic music on her second album, Reason, released in 2015.
Her first album, Selah Sue, was released in 2011 and was successful in Europe, particularly in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Finland. In 2012, she was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category "Best New Artist".
In 2013, she collaborated with French rapper MHD on the single "Boys Boys Boys".
In 2015, Selah Sue was a coach on the Belgian TV show The Voice.
In 2016, she appeared in the French film La Danseuse, where she played the lead role.
In 2018, she released her third album, Reason, experimenting with new musical genres such as hip-hop and electronic music.
Her single "Alone" reached number one on the charts in Belgium and France."
