BIOGRAPHY
Smokey Robinson (born February 19, 1940) is a singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, and former president of Motown Records. He is one of the founding members and one of the first artists signed by Motown Records. Robinson is the writer of over four thousand songs and has received five Grammy Awards. He has been ranked multiple times among the 100 greatest singers of all time by various magazines, including Rolling Stone and VH1. In 1987, Robinson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Miracles. In 2016, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
