Soul II Soul is a British soul music group from London. Formed in 1988 by producer and DJ Jazzie B and singer and producer Nellee Hooper, the group had major success with their first single "Keep on Movin" in 1989, which reached the second spot on the UK charts. The group's 1990 album, Club Classics Vol. One, was certified platinum in the UK and reached the fifth spot on the US charts. The group's second album, A New Decade, was released in 1991 and reached the second spot on the UK charts. In 1993, they released their third album titled Vol. IV: The Classic Singles 88-93, which reached the fourth spot on the UK charts. The group's music is influenced by soul, funk, disco, hip-hop, and reggae.
