Sydney Youngblood is an American singer born on December 22, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a singer and guitarist of blues, and his mother, a gospel singer. He started singing in his church choir at a young age. In 1977, he joined the funk group The Bar-Kays. After leaving the group, he began his solo career in 1988. Sydney Youngblood has released three studio albums: "Feel the Fire" (1988), "If Only I Could" (1989) and "Soul Funkin'" (1991). He is best known for his single "If Only I Could", which reached number one in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Belgium. In 1991, Sydney Youngblood appeared in the movie "The Lion King". He has also appeared in several television series, including "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". Sydney Youngblood currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
