Talking Heads

BIOGRAPHY

Here is the translation in English: Talking Heads is an American rock band from New York. Formed in 1975, it is one of the leading groups of the new wave scene of the 1980s. The original group consisted of David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth and Jerry Harrison. Over the years, several musicians have joined the group, such as Adrian Belew, Steve Scales, Bernie Worrell, Alex Weir and Jerry Douglas. Their first album, Talking Heads: 77, was released in 1977 and includes several of their greatest hits like "Psycho Killer", "Take Me to the River" and "This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)". They followed up with More Songs About Buildings and Food in 1978, and Fear of Music in 1979. In 1980, the album Remain in Light was released, including the singles "Once in a Lifetime" and "Houses in Motion". In 1982, the group released two albums, The Name of This Band Is Talking Heads and Speaking in Tongues, with the singles "Burning Down the House" and "This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)". In 1983, the album Stop Making Sense was released, accompanied by a film and a live album of the same name, considered one of the best rock documentaries of all time. In 1985, the album Little Creatures was released, including the single "And She Was". In 1986, the album True Stories was released, accompanied by a film of the same name. In 1988, the album Naked was released, with the single "Blind". The group disbanded in 1991, but reunited for a concert tour in 1996. In 2002, the album The Best of Talking Heads was released, including the singles "Burning Down the House" and "And She Was".
