The Primitives are a British pop band formed in Coventry in 1984. The band consists of Tracy Tracy (vocals, guitar), Paul Court (guitar), Tig Williams (bass), and Steve Dullaghan (drums). The band's first single, "Way Behind Me," was released in 1985 and reached number 49 on the UK Singles Chart. The band's second single, "Crash," reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart in February 1986. The band's third single, "Out of Reach," reached number 11 on the UK Singles Chart in May 1986. The band's debut album, Lovely, was released in October 1986 and reached number 15 on the UK Albums Chart. The band's second album, Pure, was released in April 1988 and reached number 49 on the UK Albums Chart. The band disbanded in 1991, but reunited in 2008.
