Yves Simon (born October 18, 1942) is a French singer, songwriter, and actor. He is best known for his 1974 hit "Au pays des merveilles de Juliet" which reached number one in France and Belgium.
Simon was born in Paris, France. He began his career as a member of the pop group Les Yéyés in the 1960s. The group released several successful singles, including "Les petits baisers" and "Les yeux noirs."
In the 1970s, Simon embarked on a solo career. His 1974 song "Au pays des merveilles de Juliet" was a huge success in France and Belgium. The song tells the story of a man transported to fairyland after kissing a girl.
Simon has released over 20 albums throughout his career. His latest album, "Les chansons de Yves Simon," was released in 2016.
Simon has also appeared in several films and television series. He has acted in the film "Les Choristes" (2004) and the television series "Les Bleus: premiers pas dans la police" (2006).
