BIOGRAPHY
The Funky Diamonds were a German music group active from 1996 to 1998. The group was comprised of five members: Kira Lingenberg, Sibel Dugan, Indra Zimmerman, Diethilde Görtz and Jasmin Eberl. Their musical style was a mix of pop and R&B dance oriented towards a younger audience.
The group was formed by producer Frank Farian, who was also responsible for creating Boney M. and Milli Vanilli. The Funky Diamonds released two albums, "Funky Diamonds" in 1996 and "Diamonds Are Forever" in 1997, with several singles that were well-received in the German charts.
Unfortunately, despite a promising career, the group decided to disband in 1998, after only two years of existence. Since then, the members of the group have pursued varied solo careers, with some even managing to maintain their popularity in the German music scene.
