"The Airplanes" is a French musical group from Bordeaux, composed of four members: Jérôme Reuter (vocals, guitar), Laurent Chalumeau (keyboards), Arnaud Samama (bass) and Olivier Marguerit (drums). The band was formed in 2006 by Jérôme Reuter and Laurent Chalumeau, both former members of the French rock band Les Wampas. The Airplanes released their first album "Take Off" in 2007, which was well received by critics. In 2009, their second album "Elevation" was even more successful. In 2011, their third album "Landing" also received very good reviews. In 2013, their fourth album "Take Off" was praised by critics. Finally, in 2015, their fifth album "Elevation" was also well received."
