BIOGRAPHY
Marusha Aphrodite Gleiß, better known by her stage name Marusha, is a German DJ and producer specializing in the trance and techno music genres. She was born on November 18, 1966 in Nuremberg but grew up in Berlin. In the 90s, Marusha gained great fame not only in Germany, but worldwide. Her single "Somewhere Over The Rainbow", a techno cover of the classic film song, brought her huge success and became an anthem of the rave music of that decade.
From 1992 to 1996, Marusha hosted a popular radio show called "Dancehall" which was very successful in Germany. It served as a platform for electronic music.
Throughout her music career, she has released several albums including 'Raveland' and 'Wir'. Marusha continues to work as a DJ and producer in Berlin.
