BIOGRAPHY
Andy Duguid is a Scottish DJ, music producer, and composer. He is known for his remixes of songs by Tiësto, Delirium, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, and Rank 1. He has also produced songs under his own name, as well as under the aliases Andy Moor and Dr. Willis. Duguid grew up in Dundee, Scotland, and began his career playing in clubs and bars in the city.
In 2003, he was discovered by Tiësto, who invited him to remix one of his songs. Duguid subsequently remixed several of Tiësto's songs, including "Traffic," "Adagio for Strings," and "Love Comes Again." In 2006, he released his first single "Wasted" under the pseudonym of Dr. Willis, which was a club hit and reached number one on the Dutch singles chart.
In 2007, his first album Believe was released under his own name and was a commercial success, reaching number two on the Dutch dance album chart. His second album On the Edge was released in 2009 and was also a commercial success, reaching number one on the Dutch dance album chart.
His third album, Miracle Moments, was released in 2011 and was also a commercial success, reaching number two on the Dutch dance album chart. In 2013, his fourth album My Way was released and reached number one on the Dutch dance album chart.
Andy Duguid has also produced songs for other artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Delirium, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren and Rank 1. In 2014, he was named DJ of the year at the Scottish DJ Awards. Duguid currently resides in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
