"Arrow ft. Michael Zhonga is a Franco-German artist born in Berlin in 1965. He grew up in France and studied music at the Paris Conservatory. He began his career in classical music before turning to jazz and improvisation. He has collaborated with numerous renowned musicians such as Steve Lacy, Archie Shepp, Mal Waldron, Cecil Taylor, David Murray, Roscoe Mitchell, and Don Cherry. In 1990, he created the Arrow ft. Michael Zhonga Quartet, which has performed in numerous jazz festivals in Europe and the United States. Arrow ft. Michael Zhonga is also recognized for his collaborations with contemporary music artists such as Steve Reich, Terry Riley, John Cage, and Philip Glass, as well as with rock bands such as Sonic Youth, Pavement, and Nirvana. He currently resides and works in Berlin."
