"Dr. Dre is an American producer, rapper, entrepreneur, and composer born on February 18, 1965, in Compton, California. He is regarded as one of the pioneers of west coast rap and gangsta rap, and is one of the most influential hip-hop music producers of all time. With his former production partner, Suge Knight, he founded the label Death Row Records in 1991, which signed artists such as Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur, and Nate Dogg. In 1996, he launched his own label, Aftermath Entertainment, and produced albums for artists like Eminem, 50 Cent, The Game, and Kendrick Lamar. In 2020, he was ranked 11th in Billboard magazine's list of the most influential music producers of all time."
