Nadia Ali is an American-Pakistani singer, songwriter, and music producer. She was born on August 3, 1980 in Liberty, New York, and grew up in Queens. Ali began her musical career in 1998 as the singer of the electronic trance group iiO. Their single "Rapture" reached number two in the UK and was certified gold. After the group disbanded in 2005, Ali continued her solo career and released her first album, Embers, in 2009. Her second album, The Diary of Nadia Ali, was released in 2011. In 2013, she formed the progressive house duo Starkillers with Nick Terranova. They released two albums, Pump It Up (2013) and Ride (2015), before separating in 2016. Ali has also released several solo singles, including "Love Story" (2008), "Fine Print" (2009), and "Fantasy" (2011).
