BIOGRAPHY
Kygo, whose real name is Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, is a Norwegian DJ, music producer, and remixer born on September 11, 1991, in Bergen, Norway.
He began his musical career at the age of 15 and studied musical production at university. In 2013, he released his first single, "Empire," under the pseudonym Kygo, which became a huge success on music streaming platforms. He subsequently released several other singles, including "Firestone" and "Stole the Show."
In 2015, Kygo released his first studio album, Cloud Nine, which topped the Norwegian album chart. The album included hit singles such as "Firestone," "Stole the Show," and "Here for You."
In 2016, Kygo collaborated with English singer Ellie Goulding on the single "First Time," which reached number four on the UK Singles Chart.
In 2018, Kygo released his second studio album, Kids in Love, featuring the singles "It Ain't Me" and "Born to Be Yours."
Kygo is regarded as one of the leading artists in the tropical house genre, a subgenre of house music characterized by slow and captivating rhythms, melancholic melodies, and acoustic instruments.
