BIOGRAPHY
Georges Maragakis, better known by his stage name Giorgos M (Γιώργος Μ), is a Greek singer, songwriter, and producer. Born and raised in Athens, Maragakis began his musical career in 2006 as a member of the Greek pop group Playmen. The group found commercial success in Greece and Cyprus, releasing three studio albums and several hit singles. In 2012, Maragakis left the group to pursue a solo career.
Maragakis's debut solo album, Giorgos M, was released in 2013 and reached number three on the Greek albums chart. The album includes the singles "Etsi Mia Thesi", "An Eisai Edo", and "Einai Stigmes". His second album, To Kalitero Mas Epidoma, was released in 2015 and reached number one on the Greek albums chart. It includes the singles "Pio Poli", "Ena Lepto", and "Dio Mas".
Maragakis has won two MAD Video Music Awards for Best New Artist and Best Male Artist, and has been nominated for three MTV Europe Music Awards.
