Mat Zo, whose real name is Matan Zohar, is a British electronic music producer and DJ. His style covers the genres of trance, progressive house, and electro house. He has released two albums on the Anjunabeats label, Damage Control in 2013 and Self Assemble in 2016. He has also released several mixed albums and singles, on both Anjunabeats and other labels. His track "Rebound" was voted by Beatport users as the second-best track of the year 2009. In 2012, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for his remix of the track "Crazy" by Seal. Zohar was born in London, England, to Israeli parents. He began playing the piano at the age of 4 and drums at the age of 13. He began producing music at the age of 16, and his first release was the track "Defined/The Space We Are" on Anjunabeats in 2007. He has also released tracks on other labels such as Armada, Ministry of Sound and Ultra. His track "Rebound" was voted by Beatport users as the second-best track of the year 2009. In 2012, Zohar was nominated for a Grammy Award for his remix of the track "Crazy" by Seal. He was also nominated for two International Dance Music Awards, in the categories of Best Trance Track and Best Progressive Track. In 2013, he was nominated for a Beatport Music Award in the category of Best Progressive House Artist. In 2016, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for his album Self Assemble.
