BIOGRAPHY
Mikhail Morikito is a Russian composer and musician born in 1966. He studied composition and electroacoustic music at Moscow State University and Gnessin State Musical College in Moscow. In 1991, he received the composition prize of the Union of Composers of Russia for his piano and orchestra composition "Requiem". His works have been performed at numerous festivals in Russia and abroad, including the Moscow Autumn Festival (1999), the Contemporary Music Festival in Saint-Petersburg (2001), the Contemporary Music Festival in Kazan (2002) and the Contemporary Music Festival in Vladivostok (2003). In 2003, he won the international composition competition "Musica Nova" in the Czech Republic. Mikhail Morikito lives and works in Moscow.
