BIOGRAPHY
Pat Benedetti is a contemporary classical music artist. Born in San Francisco, California, in 1963, she studied composition with William Bolcom and George Crumb, and holds a doctorate in music from the University of Michigan.
Benedetti has taught composition and musical theory at the University of California, North, and the University of California, South. In 1996, she joined the faculty at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
Benedetti is a prolific composer, and her works have been performed by many renowned ensembles and soloists. Among her most well-known pieces are the string quartets "Luminous Bodies" and "Falling Dreams," as well as the piano pieces "Rhapsody" and "Toccata."
