Paul Green is an American music artist. He was born in 1966 in New York, in the Bronx borough. Green grew up in a family of musicians and began his career playing piano in jazz clubs in the city. In 1985, he was invited to join the rock band Thelonious Monster, and later played with other groups such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fishbone, and Jane's Addiction. In 1992, Green founded his own group, Paul Green's School of Rock, a music school for children. The school was featured in the 2003 documentary film Rock School. Green has also taught music to prisoners and high-security inmates. In 2009, he was named one of the world's top music teachers by Time magazine.
