BIOGRAPHY
Sonora Porteña is a music group from Buenos Aires, Argentina, specifically from the La Boca neighborhood, formed in 1923. The group is composed of seven musicians playing guitar, bandoneon, double bass, percussion, and accordion. The group is known for its unique style of porteño music, blending European and Latin American influences. They were very popular in the 1920s and 1930s, and released their last album in 1963, following the death of their leader, Juan Carlos Cobián. Since the early 2000s, their music has been rediscovered by new generations, and the group has been invited to perform several times.
