BIOGRAPHY
Shintaro is a Japanese musical artist born on July 6, 1966, in Tokyo. He is known for his electronic music and minimalist compositions. After studying composition and electroacoustic music at Tokyo University in 1984, he began his career as a composer and producer. In 1988, he founded the electronic music label Mule Musiq and also worked as a DJ, releasing several mixed albums. In 2006, he released his first solo album, "Nagoya Maru," followed by "Tokyo Maru" in 2007 and "Kyoto Maru" in 2009. Shintaro has also collaborated with other artists on albums such as "In a Silent Way" with Tetsu Inoue in 2010 and "Out of the Blue" with Ryuichi Sakamoto in 2011. In 2012, he released his fourth solo album, "Hiroshima Maru."
