"Hurts is an electronic music duo from Manchester, England, consisting of Theo Hutchcraft (vocals, composition) and Adam Anderson (guitar, composition). The duo formed in 2009 and released their first album, Happiness, in 2010. The album was a success in Europe, reaching number one in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In 2011, they released their second album, Exile, which peaked at number two in Germany and number three in Austria. In 2013, Hurts released their third album, Intoxicated, which climbed to number four on the German album charts. In 2016, their fourth album, Surrender, reached number two in Germany. In 2019, their fifth album, Desire, topped the German album charts. The group has also had success with several singles, including 'Wonderful Life', 'Stay', 'Somebody to Die For', and 'All I Wanna Do'."
