Lionel Richie is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor born on June 20, 1949, in Tuskegee, Alabama. He was a member of the soul pop group The Commodores from 1968 to 1982, before embarking on a solo career with his self-titled album Lionel Richie. He achieved international success with songs such as "Truly", "My Love", "You Are", and "All Night Long (All Night)". Lionel Richie has sold over 100 million records worldwide and was ranked among the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time" by Rolling Stone magazine in 2004. In 2016, he was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
