Odyssey is an American musical group founded in 1968. The group is primarily known for their successful hits in the late 70s and early 80s. Their songs, a blend of soul, pop, and funk fusion, found great success not only in the United States, but also internationally. The group was originally composed of sisters Lillian Lopez and Louise Lopez, along with Tony Reynolds. Odyssey's trademark was in the melodic voices of its members and thoughtful lyrics that touched on relevant themes of their time. Some of the group's most iconic songs include "Native New Yorker," "Use It Up and Wear It Out," and "Going Back to My Roots." The group continued performing and recording music until Lillian Lopez passed away in 2012. Today, the group is still active with other members and continues to honor its musical legacy.
