BIOGRAPHY
The Police is a British rock band formed in 1977. The band consisted of Sting (vocals, bass), Andy Summers (guitar) and Stewart Copeland (drums). Their music is characterized by a fusion of rock, reggae, jazz, and punk. The band experienced commercial and critical success with albums such as Outlandos d'Amour (1978), Reggatta de Blanc (1979), Zenyatta Mondatta (1980), and Ghost in the Machine (1981). The band disbanded in 1984, but reunited for a tour in 2007.
