Bakermat, real name Lodewijk Fluttert, is a Dutch DJ and producer born on October 8, 1991 in Markelo, in the Overijssel. He is mainly known for his unique musical style, blending deep house, tech house, and jazz. In 2012, he graduated with a degree in psychology from the University of Utrecht. His first commercial single, "Vandaag", reached number 2 in the Netherlands and number 14 in Belgium in 2013. It was released internationally as "One Day (Vandaag)" in 2014 and reached the top 5 in Austria, Belgium, and France. He has also released several EPs over the years, including "Zomer" in 2013 and "Teach Me" in 2014. In 2016, his track "Ballade" was another major success for the artist. Bakermat is also known for his live shows with a full band, including a saxophonist, a trumpeter, and a percussionist. He has toured worldwide, including the UK, US, Australia, and all over Europe. Today, Bakermat continues to produce his signature music and regularly tour, maintaining his original style while constantly experimenting with new sounds and genres.
