Becky G, whose real name is Rebbeca Marie Gomez, was born on March 2, 1997, in Inglewood, California. From a young age, she developed an interest in music and started writing her own music when she was only 9 years old. At 14, she was discovered by producer Dr. Luke after posting several videos of herself singing on YouTube. After signing with Kemosabe Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment, Becky G began to make a name for herself through collaborations with established artists, including Cody Simpson and Cher Lloyd. She released her first single, "Problem," for the Paramount Animation film "Hotel Transylvania," and her second single, "Can't Get Enough," featuring Pitbull, reached the top of the Billboard Latin Rhythm Airplay chart. In 2015, she released her first album, "Play It Again," which also included her third single, "Shower."
