Dove Cameron is an American actress and singer born on January 15, 1996 in Bainbridge Island, Washington. She is best known for portraying the roles of Mal in Disney's "Descendants" film series and the twin roles of Liv and Maddie in the television series of the same name.
Cameron began acting in local theater at the age of eight. She later moved to Los Angeles, California, where she began working in various television and film productions.
After landing the lead role in "Liv and Maddie" in 2013, she also started gaining recognition in the music world. She has released several singles and contributed to several film soundtracks. In 2019, Cameron signed with Disruptor Records/Columbia Records and released her first official single, "Talks About".
In addition to her music career, Cameron has continued to work as an actress. She was praised for her role in the musical "Hairspray Live!" in 2016. More recently, she starred in the 2021 television series "Schmigadoon!".
