"Najoua Belyzel, born on June 26, 1978 in Saint-Denis, France, is a French pop rock singer.
She gained international success with her first single "Gabriel" in 2006. She subsequently released two albums: "Entre deux mondes" (2007) and "À chacun son histoire" (2009). She has also participated in several films and television productions.
Belyzel grew up in a family of Tunisian origin. She began her career as a model before focusing on music. She was discovered by a music producer after singing at a karaoke.
Her first album, "Entre deux mondes," was released in 2007 and reached the top 10 of the charts in France. It was certified gold in France. Her second album, "À chacun son histoire," was released in 2009 and reached the top 5 of the charts in France.
In 2010, Belyzel participated in the musical "Notre-Dame de Paris," in the role of Fleur-de-Lys. She has also appeared in several films and television productions, such as "La Vie devant nous" (2004), "Les Enfants de Timpelbach" (2008) and "Le Grand Meaulnes" (2009).
Belyzel is married to director and screenwriter Pascal Obispo. They have two children together."
