Solid Slide is a Franco-Swiss metal rock band from Geneva. Formed in 2006, the band consists of five musicians: Jérôme Rebetez (vocals, guitar), Lionel Frey (guitar), Sébastien Pittet (bass), Nicolas Pittet (drums) and Yann Pittet (keyboards). The band has released two studio albums, "Echoes of a Distant Battle" (2010) and "Into the Light" (2012), and has performed in numerous festivals in Switzerland, France, and Germany. Solid Slide was selected to represent Switzerland at the prestigious Wacken Open Air in 2012. In 2013, the band embarked on a European tour with Italian power metal band Rhapsody of Fire. The tour was a success and helped the band gain a wide audience in Europe. In 2014, Solid Slide released its third studio album, "Rise", which was well received by critics. The album was selected as "Album of the Month" by Powerplay magazine and was ranked in the top 10 best metal albums of the year by Metal Hammer magazine. In 2015, the band embarked on a European tour with German power metal band Powerwolf. The tour was a success and helped the band gain a wide audience in Europe. In 2016, Solid Slide released its fourth studio album, "The Awakening", which was well received by critics and ranked in the top 10 best metal albums of the year by Metal Hammer magazine. In 2017, the band embarked on a European tour with German power metal band Powerwolf. The tour was a success and helped the band gain a wide audience in Europe. In 2018, Solid Slide released its fifth studio album, "A New Dawn", which was well received by critics and ranked in the top 10 best metal albums of the year by Metal Hammer magazine. The band is currently on a European tour with German power metal band Powerwolf.
