Nato a Montréal, Canada, nel 1968, Vice è stato cresciuto con la musica elettronica dalla tenera età. Innamorato delle sonorità e dei ritmi ipnotici della musica techno, ha iniziato a produrre la sua musica all'inizio degli anni '90. Nel corso degli anni, la sua musica ha continuato ad evolversi, passando dal puro e duro techno ad un approccio più sperimentale e avanguardista. Vice ha anche esplorato una varietà di generi musicali, dal hip-hop alla musica classica. Oltre alla sua carriera da solista, ha collaborato con molti artisti e gruppi, tra cui i DJ/produttori Richie Hawtin e John Acquaviva, il rapper canadese K-os e il violinista virtuoso Joshua Bell. Vice è anche noto per le sue performance live energiche e coinvolgenti, che fondono musica, video e arti visive.
